Event: Ontario Makers and Mentors Innovation Conference

From Friday, October 27, 2017 to Sunday, October 29, 2017

OMMIC 2017

This Ontario Makers and Mentors Innovation Conference is a student initiative supported by the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Engineering and the Centre Engineering Entrepreneurial Design (CEED). In collaboration with the uOttawa Richard L’abbe Makerspace and our sponsors, we create a conference where makers, entrepreneurs, hobbyists and students can come out to compete with innovative designs, meet companies from the industry and see the latest and greatest in project technology. While our mentors will be able to enjoy everything listed above, there will also be special workshops and speakers dedicated to educating teachers on the project technology resources, how they can be incorporated in project based learning and how teachers can form their own makerspaces.

The gala will be held from 17:00-20:00 on October 27th and the conference is 9:00-16:00 on the 28th and 29th.
