Thursday, October 20, 2016, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Venture for Canada is a not-for-profit that recruits, trains, and supports recent graduates to work at Canadian startups, with the mission of fostering entrepreneurship. Fellows receive access to a five week Fellow Training Camp, as well as ongoning mentorship and support over a two year period. They spend two years working at one of our partner startups, where they gain the skills, network and experience necessary to launch their own firms. For the 2016 cohort, Venture for Canada received nearly 1700 applications for 55 Fellows.
Through our efforts, our partner startups gain access to the talent that they need to take their companies to the next level. Since the program was launched, over 90% of Fellows have been assessed by their employers as meeting or exceeding expectations.
Joining Venture for Canada is so much more than just getting placed to work at a startup. Fellows are part of a supportive community passionate about entrepreneurship. This community can support you through entrepreneurial ups and downs over the course of your career
