The Future of work: will robots take your job?

Nobody knows.  But ongoing digitization, Big Data, augmented reality, virtual reality, the Internet of Things and continuous innovation are already changing how organizations operate. Vendors can now predict when you need your next tube of toothpaste and ship it before you order it. Sensors embedded into devices such as locomotives and aircraft engines allow buyers to lease the time they need as opposed to buying the product. Employment contracts enabled by personal communication devices may lead to the end of employment as we know it. And continuous innovation at product, process and communication levels will create a work environment full of ambiguity and change.

As managers, we can either wait to adapt to these changes, or we can actively engage and ensure that we prepare our workplaces. Our presenters, who are currently working on the leading edge of some of these issues, will help you anticipate the new world of work.
