Telfer Executive Breakfast Series: Demystifying Creativity

Tuesday, November 29, 2016, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

There was a time when the concept of creativity was only associated with writers, painters, musicians and similar people in artistic professions. Recently however, the need for creative thinking has transitioned from the arts into everyday business.  In fact, recent surveys of CEOs and successful organizations have highlighted Creativity as a core leadership competency.

But what do we mean by creativity? And how can it be developed and harnessed effectively? What can we do to encourage creative thinking in our organizations?

This session will assist you in demystifying those concepts and integrate them into an overall systemic framework.  You will be invited to reflect and identify some strategies you can use to improve your own creativity and ways and means to help create an organizational climate that supports the creativity of others.

Come with an open mind and be ready to be challenged!

Presenter: Diane Houle-Rutherford is an Associate with Telfer Executive Programs and was involved in the Justice Canada Leadership Development program as the French Academic Director.   She is a consultant who focuses on Leadership Development, Creativity and Coaching.  Diane has delivered programs in both languages in Europe, Mexico, the United States and in Canada.
